“A few months before the outbreak of COVID-19, I was in Shanghai for an exhibition of my work. In the few moments I had time, I slipped out to capture city life with my camera. China's dynamic nature is fascinating ; everywhere around you you see the traces of change. Traditional buildings make way for modern apartment complexes. I spent a lot of time in a characteristic neighborhood that was on the verge of disappearing. This neighborhood, then largely abandoned, was dotted with beautiful, but dilapidated wooden houses. It was already certain that this neighborhood would be demolished, and the last residents were about to leave. It is almost certain that this unique place no longer exists, replaced by the inevitable cityscape of modern flats."

"I navigate the complicated space between journalistic accuracy and poetic nuance, revealing the inherent beauty of the everyday. Through my lens I try to evoke emotions akin to a poignant piece of music, touching the soul rather than the mind. My black -white compositions are invitations to the senses, with each frame designed to deeply intrigue and resonate. In this dance of light and shadow, I present humanity as I experience it, and encourage viewers to find their own stories within it. For me, photography is more than a medium; it is a bridge that connects emotions to the intricate tapestry of everyday life.
